These Rains.

Beneath massive thunderous clouds
I gape like a five year old
At the charm of yellow lights,
As they hung in dark spaces
Hugged by breathtaking zephyr
And mesmerizing pearls of water.

Beating fatalistically,
Those little drops
Cackle into a rhythmic sound
On numerous little puddles
Aesthetically,
On their surfaces
Forming patterns, captivating patterns!
Yet they fail to preclude the quietude.

And I smile at their naivety
How they, in an episodic performance
Long for perpetuity.
Mesmerizing pearls of water
As I gape like a five year old
Beneath those massive thunderous clouds.

    1. That is because I wrote it while it was raining. :D

  4. The rains only make everything seem calm and relaxed while theyre there. When theyre gone, the facade breaks down pretty quick

    1. Yes. But everything is transient. Even the scene which emerges after breaking of the facade is short-lived. So there is not much use in feeling sad when rains end. :-)
